The Stadium BM725 core drill vent is used to provide safety ventilation in areas installed with domestic heating boilers and decorative fuel effect fires. It is supplied with an internal anti-draft baffle to dramatically reduce wind noise from outside by slowing the air flow within the duct by changing its direction, and by the vortices formed, reducing draughts to a minimum. It is also supplied with a 585mm long extension tube
How the anti-draft Black Hole Ventilator works
Drawn air operation - When a heating appliance is operating, air is drawn through the vent and actually speeds up within the constricted air flow between the vortices. This maintains the correct amount of air in the room or compartment to allow the fuel in the appliance to burn efficiently and flue gases to escape.
Blown air operation - When the appliance is not working, incoming air (blown air or wind) is reduced to a minimum, even when wind levels are high. The energy of the blown air (wind) is quickly dissipated by the restriction of the internal shape and the vortices

Safety Precautions and Standards when installing any heating appliance ventilator
The BM725 anti-draft vent should be installed as close to the appliance as possible and should be fitted as high up as possible as the cold air being drawn in mixes with the warm air at the top of the room.
TO ENSURE THE VENTILATOR PROVIDES THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF AIR WHEN AN APPLIANCE IS OPERATING IT IS IMPORTANT THAT A SPILLAGE TEST IS CARRIED OUT AS REQUIRED BY THE BRITISH STANDARD AND GAS SAFE GOOD PRACTICE.
