High Pressure Part 1 Brass High Pressure Float Valve with an 8 1/2 Inch long arm. This filling valve is manufactured to BS1212 part 1 and has a Plastic piston and seat
Most plumbing products are stated in BSP imperial thread measurement which means the actual diameter of the thread is approximately 1/4 inch larger than that stated in BSP Terms. For example this 1/2 Inch BSP thread measures approximately 3/4 inch in diameter.
Where to use a High Pressure Float Valve
A high pressure ballcock float valve has a small filling hole and therefore will take longer to fill than a low pressure float valve but will significantly reduce noise and water hammer. This noise can happen with a high pressure water supply if a standard or low pressure float valve is used. In addition the design of this valve allows it to fully seal and have a quick response for shut-off and turn-on under the high pressure situation.
